Harry Potter has everybody under his spell it seems as a 20-acre attraction costing over $200 million is being launched by Warner Bros. Entertainment and Universal Orlando Resort. The huge allure of the attraction is set to see interest in Florida villas peak as everyone will be trying to be first in line to experience the new theme park. It’s thought that it won’t be just Florida villas and the tourism trade that will benefit – if it is the success it’s suspected to be, it’s thought that it could spawn Hogwarts castles at theme parks worldwide.

It’s thought that the Harry Potter theme park will draw in even more money for JK Rowling, the UK’s third richest woman, as well as for Universal, giving local business such as Florida villas rented out to tourists a much needed boost.

Tourism was hit by the terrorist fears of September 11, but Disney remained relatively unscathed economically. There have since been concerns that trade will slow down thanks to the rising fuel prices and slowing economy.
