Florida Villas – Advice on Theme Parks
If you are one of the families who rents out Florida villas in the Disney area, check out our hints and tips on theme parks.
Many families rent out Florida villas in the Disney area with the sole aim of spending their holidays visiting the major theme parks. But if you’ve never been before, how should you prepare and what should you know? Check out some hints and tips below.
- Clothing
If you’re staying in the Disney area, renting Florida villas or staying in a resort, you will have packed appropriate holiday clothes. There are certain kinds of clothing however that are not considered acceptable and it is worth checking the list first. Most of it is common sense as the theme parks are a family environment and dress code is casual. Comfort is important if you are on your feet all day, so wear good walking shoes. Clothes you can’t wear include:
- Costumes worn by adults – the only adults in costumes should be Mickey Mouse and friends. This includes masks – unless a particular event calls for wearing masks.
- Forget t-shirts with rude language and graphics or excessively torn clothing – clothes that reveal lots of body parts are also a no-no in a family environment.
- Objectionable tattoos should be covered up too.
- Possessions
Once more, if you are renting Florida villas in the Disney area, you will be ready for a family holiday and hopefully the items below won’t be an issue. But there are some items you may have thought were innocent that are not permitted in the theme parks. Including:
- Anything on wheels (aside from a wheelchair) including skateboards, scooters, skates and strollers larger than 92 x 132 cm, suitcases or backpacks with or without wheels larger than 61 cm long and 38 cm wide x 46cm high.
- Alcoholic beverages
- Weapons of any kind
- Folding chairs
- Glass containers (excluding baby food jars and perfume bottles)
- Pets (unless they are service animals, such as blind dogs)
If you are renting one of the Florida villas in the Disney area, you’ll want to visit all the theme parks – remember if you are visiting Disney Animal Kingdom Theme Park, there are a few more regulations for the protection of the wildlife. These include no balloons, straws or drink lids.
