- Drink plenty of water, even if you do not feel thirsty. It is easy to get dehydrated in the Florida sun.

- Avoid the sun at midday or during the hottest hours – there are plenty of indoor activities in Orlando.
- Use beach-access walkways to protect the sand dunes and don't collect any live seashells. Enjoy watching the seabirds, turtles, etc., but don't try to feed or touch them.
- On the beach, always stay designated swimming areas and to keep an eye on your children. Never swim alone.
