Walking around Orlando, make sure your money, credit cards, passport etc. are in a money belt you can wear at all times. It’s advisable just to take a day’s worth of money with you, and keep the remainder safe. If in the unlikely event that you do have an emergency, report it as quickly as possible by calling tel. 911, which is the emergency police, ambulance, and fire number throughout Florida.
Nature
Alligators
Floridians have learned to coexist with alligators, but if you’re a tourist staying in one of the many Florida villas across the State, you should be aware of the reptiles which are found in all 67 counties. It is incredibly rare that humans are attacked but you should take extra precautions if you have pets staying in your Florida villa with you. Often, if left alone, alligators will retreat from areas inhabited by people for more isolated spots.

Insects
With the warm and humid climate found throughout much of Florida, a wide range of insects can become pests.
